Inaugurated in 1961, Cascade Drive-In Theater has been a cinematic fixture for decades. However, over time, its design identity has wandered into a realm of inconsistency, lacking a distinctive brand persona. The curtains fell on Cascade in 2019, leaving a void in the community that echoes with a collective yearning for its return. This conceptual redesign for Cascade aims to breathe new life into the brand, accentuating the timeless legacy of drive-in theaters.

DESIGN PROCESS
NEW LOGO

The Cascade logo is artfully crafted, depicting a car with a whimsical type treatment. The car's headlights cleverly double as symbols for the movie projector, adding a layer of symbolism. The strategic use of negative space between each shape not only enhances the visibility of the car but also facilitates easy application of color to the logo. Designed with a blend of nostalgia and modern aesthetics, this logo aims to evoke a sense of the past while maintaining a contemporary edge.
